Evermore

August 18, 2009

So I finished reading Evermore the other night. I suppose Icould have spent my time better but it was a gift so I gave it a try. However, I could have just read Twilight again, no? How did this woman not get sued? Granted, there were differences, like Damen (and I kept reading it Damien the whole time) was merely an immortal, not a vampire. Then he shouldn’t have been all pale and perfect and “sucking out the poison like you do with a snakebite” (sound familiar?)!  There were so many little images and phrases that were similar to Twilight that I almost started to picture Damen a lot more like Edward and Ever as a whiny brunette. Suffice it to say that I will not be reading the sequel “Blue Moon” (rhymes with…) unless I also recieve it as a gift, from my cancer suffering sister in law.

comic con

July 23, 2009

I get the feeling that I won’t be getting much done in the real world today. My favorite bloggers are at Comic Con in San Diego tweeting updates like every 15 seconds so…not that I’m complaining. Thanks JAG and Fakerparis! On one hand I wish I was there. On the other hand, I’d rather go deaf by being front row at a rock concert than by a bunch of screaming fangurls so it all works out just fine for me. So, I think I’m going to get another cup of coffee, sit back and watch the show from a safe distance, hearing intact.

I wonder if my local Burger King will have these come November?

Honestly, why is Summit still pushing team Jacob?  I thought everyone read the books by now!! If you didn’t yet–SPOILER ALERT–

Edward gets the girl.

Push

July 16, 2009

So I watched the movie Push last night. I borrowed it from a friend–the same friend I borrowed Twilight from. Yes, that’s right. I didn’t even see Twilight until it was out on DVD. So anyway, she said it was pretty good so I took her work for it and settled in to watch. Now there’s two hours I’ll never get back. I think its only redeeeming quality is Chris Evans. I would sooooo not throw him out in the morning. YUM.  He really is the only reason I stuck with it. Almost teared up when he “died”  My thought was “great. now I wasted 2 hours on this ridiculous story only to see the hot guy die. I could have watched Twilight again!” But then he got up so I had to watch the end. no point turning it off with 10 minutes to go!

You know you’ve read “the Saga” too many times when…

July 11, 2009

**I told my daughter, after repeatedly asking for something to eat, despite the fact that her stomach should have been overfull, “I know you’re young, but you need to learn to control your hunger”

**You explain away thunderstorms as “vampires playing baseball”  btw the 7 year old thinks thats cool, now the 5 year old is afraid of vampires instead of thunder…hmmm

**I was just noticing the lack of food in my pantry. Realizing they have eaten everything, my first thought “Wow, my kids eat like a pack of growing werewolves”

HELP!
